No Instinct App Store Yet
Oct 10th
We know a lot of you out there are really excited about the new Instinct App Store, and all the apps that could come with it. Unfortunately, today is October 10 and we got no new word for you. The latest news from the Instinct Developer page is that they’re still reviewing Apps to find out who wins the contest (for all the details on this Instinct contest, we wrote about it here).
We did though see on the Gizmodo that a new Pandora app — enabling you to listen to streamed music on your phone (already available for free on the iPhone) — is out for the Instinct (though it will cost you $3 a month to use).
Maybe Sprint is starting to slowly release Apps, one by one. I really hope that isn’t the case, and they will just release an App Store with everything there, but hey, better something then nothing.
We’ll keep you updated with anything new coming out on this. Until then, feel free to post any thoughts or wishes you have for new Apps as well as what you think of the Pandora app if you got it, in the comments.
UPDATE (2/23): Sprint appears to have canceled the entire contest, we have this written up here.
New Macbooks Coming Next Week!
Oct 9th
The Macbook event invite
Apple just announced today that next week on October 14, they will be releasing new Macbooks! What these Macbooks are exactly remains anyone’s guess, but the strongest of rumors claims that all the Mac notebooks (including the regular Macbook) will be made out of a single piece of aluminum. Some weaker rumors say everything from new trackpads (maybe glass ones with a multi-touch screen underneath, basically an iPhone in a Macbook), to a Mac tablet (see more info on these and other Macbook rumors here).
While we unfortunately won’t be there in person
, we will, of course, give you all the info once it comes out next week. In the meantime, hold off on that new laptop purchase and feel free to give us your guess/wish on what you think will happen next week at this Apple event in the comments.

Turns out all you Verizon users will have more than just some new Motorola phones to chose from this holiday season. Some Upcoming Motorola Phones for AT&T and Verizon
Oct 7th
For all of you on AT&T and Verizon who want a nice, stylish, phone yet don’t want to pay a lot of $$$ for an iPhone 3G or LG Dare- today you should pay a little attention because this may interest you. Motorola just spilled some info on a few of their future phones for AT&T and Verizon– all of which fit the stylish, functional and relatively inexpensive description very well.
Get an Xbox 360 Pro or Elite for $50 less!
Oct 3rd
We know Microsoft just gave major price cuts to the entire Xbox 360 lineup (we wrote about it here), but if those new cheaper prices weren’t enough for you to go out and buy one, then this probably will. On the Dell Online Store — yes, they do sell things outside of computers — from now until October 6, when you enter a promotion code at check out, you will be able to save an additional $50 on an Xbox 360 Pro with a 60 GB hard drive (down to $249–same price as the Wii!) or an Xbox 360 Elite (down to $349).
For the 360 Pro: 7V2DJL$PD6NGWZ
For the 360 Elite: NP?CKPRH$KTWLL
These codes are real- I tried them myself, and all you need to do is add the selected 360 to your cart (click on the name of the system before the code above to get the respective page on the Dell Store site), go to checkout, and copy and paste the respective code in the “Add Coupon” section. Oh, and Dell will also include FREE 3-5 Day Shipping!
What this means to you: This is just for a limited time–only the next 3 days– but if you want a 360 for either yourself or for somebody else to get ahead on the upcoming holiday season, now may be the best time to buy it.
What do you think- Is now the time to buy, or does it pay to wait it out a little longer, expecting even better deals as the holiday season comes closer? Let us know in the comments.
