Waiting for The sequel to Uncharted? Well you’re going to have to wait a bit longer. This picture of Nathan Drake, the protagonist of Uncharted, just makes me want the game that much more–whereas Uncharted 1 only used 30%, this latest version will be using about 90-100% of he PS3′s power.

Other interesting details:

  • This time, the storyline doesn’t revolve around Drake’s relative Francis Drake, but Marco Polo.
  • According to Edge, this game will dig deep into Drake’s persona and show his charming side, and his jerky side.
  • According to Naughty Dog, the game’s developer, they have added a new facet to the game which is called the “stealth mechanic:. The “stealth mechanic” just adds another way to play the game. From what i have heard it is just like what happened with Metal Gear, you could sneak around the enemy or just shoot them all down.

The game’s expected release is for early 2009.

How to Backup your iPod (for Windows PC's)

sharepod

SharePod for Windows (no, that’s not my iPod- it’s a pic I found online ;) )

Got a bunch of music and videos on your iPod and want to make sure you have them backed up onto your computer?

This is a great little program that not just does it’s job, but does it really well. The program is called SharePod and can be downloaded for free here (don’t worry this won’t give your computer viruses or anything like that — I got it here and no problems on my PC). Anyways, all you do once you download this small file is open it up, click on the items you want to copy to you computer and click on the icon in the upper left that says “Copy to PC.” Then you select the folder you want the items to go into (I would recommend you put it in My Music or Desktop– or anywhere you’d remember it’s location), then click OK- and your done! Your files are now on your computer!

Now let’s say you wanna take those files you backed up (say you got them from a different computer in your house), and now transfer them to your iTunes. Well, don’t worry, this is also just a quick step away. Open iTunes and go to “File Add File to Library”, then go to where you saved your file from your iPod on your computer (see, this is where knowing where you saved the file is important ;) ), and click on it to add to your iTunes library. If its a video, then the file will go to your Movie’s section in iTunes, and if it’s a song, then it will go to music.

See, that wasn’t so hard :) , and now you got your songs and videos saved onto your computer.

SharePod is a free download from Download.com, and works with Windows XP and Vista, as well as with all iPod’s and iPhone’s including the iPhone 3G and new iPod Touch (2nd Generation) and iPod Nano (4th Generation).

So, what you think- this work well for you? Got questions? Wanna reccomend a different, easier program? Sound off in the comments!

dell-adamo-1

Looking for a new Laptop but don’t want a Mac? Well sometime in January, both Sony and Dell will release their new notebooks.

On January 9th Sony will unveil this new netbook/laptop whose exact definition isn’t specific (as their picture shows), but some think it might be a retake on the typical netbook (those little tiny computers designed for notes, internet and travel with screens below 10 inches and prices that are well below most laptops).

Dell recently touted their new rival to Apple’s Macbook Air — yes, we said a laptop that could actually be thinner than the Macbook Air! In case you were unaware, the Macbook Air tops out at .76 inches of thickness; imagine how thin the Adamo will be! Dell has confirmed that  Adamo, the new mystery laptop, was originally to be released this month, but was pushed back to Feburary.

We don’t know the actual price of these sweet laptops, but you can be assured that the prices might make your wallet run ;)

So are you going to wait it out for these slick new Laptops/Netbooks? Or, are you just going to spring for another computer? Let us know in the comments.

New Games Coming to the iPhone

There has been much speculation about the cryptic message Konami sent us a few weeks back, and today that message was answered.

Metal Gear solid is coming to the iPhone. Now this Metal Gear Solid Touch, as it is being called now, won’t have new storyline: it will basically be a shorter, and less in-depth Metal Gear Solid 4, but you can expect the gameplay to include a lot of tapping on the screen to, I don’t know, knock your enemy out ;)

Konami also announced two more games are making the transition to the iPhone: Silent Hill and Dance Dance Revolution.  I imagine it will be interesting playing Dance Dance on an iPhone.

All the games are coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch this spring.

iphone-3g-online

Remeber way back when- you know, when the first iPhone launched, when you could just buy your iPhone at home, activate and set it up without ever setting foot in a store?

Those good ol’ days are back, and just in time for the holiday season! Unfortunately though, this comes back with a lot more restrictions. For one, you can only do this for a new account or adding a line to a plan; if you want to upgrade you have to go to a store (this is really annoying, I mean seriously, why not upgrades?).

And for those of you looking to snag a $199 iPhone and then unlock and go to another network like T-Mobile, that is not as simple anymore either. AT&T will watch your order for an undefined amount of time to make sure you activate it and not just run off with a cheap iPhone (which is really not a good idea for you to do, as if they catch you, it will cost you a lot more than an iPhone :) ).

So what you think- you gonna give the gift of iPhone this holiday season (maybe convince a relative to get you one ;) )? Let us know in the comments.

Playstation Home Launching Today!

Your apartment in Home

Yes!  The long awaited Playstation Home has just been released!

In case you don’t know, Home is a virtual world where you create your own avatar, who gets his/her own apartment or living shelter and can deck it out anyway he/she wants to.

One really cool feature I like is you can get a bunch of friends to send their avatar to a “theater” in the game, put a Blu-Ray disc into your Playstation, and everyone can then watch the movie on their own TV at home! You will also be able to chat with your friends and even link to their hard drives, so are able to stream their music and videos from your own ps3.

I have been waiting for Home for a long time and it is finally here! So are you excited about Home and it coming to the PS3?

iphone-3g-pic-2

Remember a couple weeks ago I wrote about the new HTC Fuze for AT&T (review available here)? Well, on Friday I returned the Fuze and picked myself up a nice, new, 16 GB iPhone 3G. Now before you go attacking me saying that I always complain about the high iPhone rates, and that I went against my words — hear me out. Read on and I’ll explain to you everything that went through my mind before I walked out of AT&T with an iPhone.

Would You Buy an iPhone 3G for $99?

Would You Buy an iPhone 3G for $99?

iPhone 3G only $99?

Times are tough and the holiday season is fast approaching, so we expect a lot of bargain deals to hit the shelves in order to lure customers.

This deal (its actually a RUMORED deal), however, we did not see coming. As you saw in the title, the deal is an iPhone 3G for only $99 on a 2 year contract! Yup, all that sweet multi-touch, 3G, App Store, GPS and iPhone goodness for under a Benjamin, an offer so cheap because it is coming from Walmart, who are well-known for their great deals and cheaper prices. One major drawback to the deal: only 4 GB of memory (this stinks, we know).

Hey, you can’t have everything ;) , and if you plan on using your iPhone as an iPod as well, then this may not be the choice for you (4 GB is not a lot- maybe a couple movies or about 1,000 songs). We also assume you would still need to sign up for the $70 a month AT&T iPhone plan (only $30 a month if you’re adding to a family plan, as I found out when I went to an AT&T store a couple weeks ago) or some equivalent phone plan that perhaps will be cheaper per month because of the cheaper price of the phone.

But we just gotta ask- is this something you see yourself getting for the holidays assuming this is all true, and that Walmart gets this out the door soon (as in, before the end of the year)? Would you rather pay the extra $100-$200 to get an 8 GB or 16 GB? Or just ditch the iPhone all together and go for a phone like the Blackberry Bold, Pantech Matrix, Samsung Propel or other AT&T phone?  Let us know in the comments.

Remember: all of this is still a rumor at this point (though Walmart will be selling the standard iPhone 3G sometime soon).

Nokia's New Phone: The N97

Nokia’s New Phone: The N97

Dec 2nd

Nokia has been teasing us–the public–for awhile now about its new touch screen, slider cell phone, and its finally here… not. Nokia announced on Tuesday that The N97 will not be released until the early half of 2009, and only in Europe. Everybody else, including the U.S., will have to wait even longer.

This phone has been compared to the expensive Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 because of it’s 3.5 inch tilting touch screen and slide out QWERTY keyboard.

The Nokia N97 will also feature:

  • A gigantic 32 GB memory on the phone, and you can add even more with a 16 GB memory card.
  • A 5 Megapixel camera for taking extra sharp photos.
  • Nokia’s Ovi internet services which include Nokia’s music store and maps, and the N-Gage gaming (this is not yet released in US, though judging by how this phone isn’t coming till sometime next year, it might be by the time we get it!)
  • Built-in WiFi

Now the problem that all us teens have? Money. The Nokia N97 will cost a whopping $695! And since it is currently not on a carrier, it might cost you even more to buy it unlocked (though compared to the Xperia X1, the N97 is cheaper :) ).

So will you wait and shell out the money when it finally arrives, or will you get a different phone right now? Sound off in the comments.
