Verizon Gives The Droid RAZR A Release Date: Coming November 11th At 11:11 AM
Nov 7th

Want the Droid RAZR to be your next Verizon phone? Then get ready because Verizon and Motorola have announced the awesome release date and time for their latest Droid: November 11th (or this Friday) at 11:11 AM. Yes, on 11/11/11 at 11:11 you’ll finally be able to go into your local Verizon store and buy the Droid RAZR.

For those who don’t know, the Droid RAZR is Verizon and Motorola’s latest and most amazing Droid yet. Like Verizon’s other upcoming Android superphones (the HTC Rezound and Galaxy Nexus) this beast is loaded with the latest and greatest specs like: a 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM (so everything on your phone is fast and without freezes or lags), 4.3 inch super sharp screen (not as powerful as the Rezound or Galaxy Nexus’ but still pretty amazing), Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich promised to be coming next year), support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, 8 megapixel back camera with HD front camera for video chat and a RAZR thin (like literally almost paper thin!) waterproof design made of Kelvar (the same material used to make bulletproof vests!). Yeah, this is a pretty amazing phone.
As previously announced the Droid RAZR will cost Verizon’s usual 4G phone price of $300 with a new 2 year contract and data plan (yeah, we wish it was $111.11 too).
So, is this gonna be your next Verizon phone or will you instead go with something like the Rezound or Galaxy Nexus?
Top 5 New And Upcoming Verizon Phones: Fall 2011
Oct 25th

So Verizon users– you’ve got an upgrade coming up sometime over the next couple of weeks/months and while you like some of the phones already out there, you really wanna know what Verizon’s got planned during those next few weeks or months so you don’t go out and buy something only to really regret it a week later. We’re here to help.
While not all of these are confirmed to be coming to Verizon (some are just our best guesses based on rumors we’ve been hearing), here are 5 phones that have recently launched or are said to be on their way to Verizon over the next few weeks/months that anyone with an upgrade should be really excited for (and trust us– they’re really good).
First Official Droid RAZR Pics Leak Out, Looks As Amazing As We Expected
Oct 17th

Waiting for more info on Verizon and Motorola’s next big Droid before tomorrow’s big event? Well then we think you’re gonna love this. What you see above is the first official pic of the upcoming Droid RAZR– and wow does it look incredible. The picture– which has not surprisingly now been taken down– was taken today from Motorola’s teaser site for tomorrow’s event. And while we still don’t know the exact specs we know we can now expect a phone that’s crazy thin (it’s a RAZR after all), has a large screen, a front camera for video chat with a back camera capable of taking 1080p full HD video (meaning it’s most likely an 8 megapixel camera), and has support for Verizon’s blazing fast 4G LTE network.
In short, if you’re looking for a new Verizon phone anytime soon you’re definitely gonna wanna check back here tomorrow for everything you’re gonna want and need to know about this beast. Stay tuned!
Are Motorola and Verizon Announcing The Droid RAZR Next Week?
Oct 14th

If you thought the Atrix 2 was a quick upgrade you ain’t seen nothing yet. Motorola and Verizon have sent out invites for a big event next Tuesday, October 18th, teasing some new devices that are “faster, thinner, smarter, stronger.” And while we’re not sure exactly what devices will be shown off next week, the latest rumors are that we’ll not only see a new Xoom 2 (an upgrade to the original Xoom from earlier this year)– but also the all new Droid RAZR, a super Verizon Android phone that looks to be right up there with Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Nexus/Nexus Prime. Yeah, and this is only a month after the Droid Bionic finally came out.

A rumored shot of the upcoming Droid RAZR (pic from Engadget)
The rumored specs on the Droid RAZR (though it may also be called the Droid HD) are everything you’d expect of a new top of the line superphone: 1.2 GHZ dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM (for excellent speed), a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen (or an amazing screen that should be right up there with the iPhone 4S’s Retina Display and Samsung’s Super AMOLED Plus screens), an 8 megapixel back camera with an HD front camera (for HD video chat), support for Verizon’s blazing fast 4G LTE network, and a casing made from Kelvar (or a casing from the same material that’s used to make bulletproof vests– yeah, this would definitely be stronger!). Yeah– this looks to be insane.
As usual Motorola put out a teaser video for next week’s big announcement (a video that has a lot of bullets and even a picture of a bulletproof vest at the 20 second mark) which we’ve added after the break. As usual we’ll have all the info you need to know covered for you back here, but if you’re looking for a new Verizon phone we really think you should try to wait it out until next week.
AT&T Keeps Bringing The Android Heat With Motorola Atrix 2 and Samsung Captivate Glide
Oct 12th

Looking for a new Android phone on AT&T but aren’t feeling the Galaxy S II? Don’t worry, as AT&T has announced a few new Android phones coming out over the next few weeks that should definitely give phones like the Galaxy S II and iPhone 4S a good run for your money. And while AT&T announced a whole bunch of Android phones today (5 in total), we’re gonna focus on the two we think you’ll be most interested in: the all new Motorola Atrix 2 (an upgrade to the Atrix 4G that was released just a few months back– yeah, technology moves insanely fast) and the Samsung Captivate Glide (think the Galaxy S II with a keyboard).
Droid Bionic Now Available From Verizon
Sep 12th
In cased you missed the news over the weekend, Verizon and Motorola have now finally made the long-awaited Droid Bionic available. Yes, you can now go into your local Verizon store and pick up their most powerful 4G LTE Droid yet for that expected price of $300 with new 2 year contract and data plan.
The specs of the Bionic are pretty much everything we’ve heard these last few weeks and months, though they’re still pretty impressive. Here’s a quick recap:
- 4.3 inch qHD screen– Like the Photon 4G, Sensation 4G and most other top of the line phones today. In short, this is a screen that will make everything you view on it look great.
- The latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 1 GHZ dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM– So everything on the phone is as fast as that Verizon 4G LTE.
- 8 megapixel back camera with front camera for video chat– The back camera can also record videos in full 1080p HD.
- 32 GB of storage (16 GB built-in, 16 GB on an included microSD card)– So you can load this up with all your music and videos.
The Bionic can also be docked in a laptop dock just like AT&T’s Motorola Atrix, though for that extra $300 it will cost you to get the dock it may just be better to get a real laptop or tablet instead.
And remember, if you buy the Bionic before the end of the month and are upgrading from a feature phone (basically any phone that’s not a Windows Phone, iPhone, Droid or BlackBerry) you can save an additional $100 from Verizon. If you are upgrading from a smartphone or want an even better deal, then you may want to get your Bionic from Motorola as they’re charging only $250 (with a new 2 year contract and data plan) and are also offering that $100 Verizon gift card if you’re upgrading from a non-smartphone.
So Verizon users, you gonna get this or are you waiting for some other big phones to come out next month instead?

Did Verizon and Motorola Just Confirm The Droid Bionic’s Release Date?
Sep 1st

We know a lot of you are eagerly awaiting for more info on Motorola and Verizon’s upcoming super powerful, 4G LTE running Droid Bionic and from the looks of this latest Verizon ad, we just got one of the last missing details on the phone: it’s release date. If you pay close attention to the new Verizon Droid Bionic TV ad (seen below) you’ll see at the end the date 9.8.11. If that looks familiar it’s because it’s the same September 8th date previously rumored to be the launch date for the Bionic. Sadly the ad doesn’t mention a price (though we think it will be $300 on contract), but with apparently just a week before it comes out we expect to find that out soon.
We also know that the Droid Bionic will be getting its own laptop dock like the AT&T Motorola Atrix 4G, though again no word on how much it will cost (let’s hope they don’t charge $500 for it or make you have to get a tethering plan like AT&T did).
We’ll of course keep you updated as more info comes out, but hang tight Droid Bionic fans– you’re perfect back to school phone looks to finally be almost here.

Droid Bionic Appears In Best Buy Guide, Release Coming September 8th? (UPDATE)
Aug 23rd
If you’re waiting for Motorola and Verizon’s dual-core, 4G LTE beast of a phone– also known as the Droid Bionic– it looks like your wait is almost over. Best Buy has posted their September Mobile Phone Guide and what do ya know, the Droid Bionic is featured a few times as one of the phones to get if your on Verizon. Best Buy also seems to have confirmed some of the key specs of the Droid Bionic (something we weren’t sure about once Motorola said they were going to re-do the Droid Bionic a few months ago), and like the original Bionic, this looks to be the most powerful Verizon 4G phone we’ve seen yet. Here are the full specs:
- 4.3 inch qHD screen– Like the Photon 4G, Sensation 4G and most other top of the line phones today. In short, this is a screen that will make everything you view on it look great.
- The latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 1 GHZ dual core processor– So everything on the phone is as fast as that Verizon 4G LTE.
- 8 megapixel back camera with front camera for video chat– The back camera can also record videos in full 1080p HD.
Now Motorola has confirmed that the Bionic will be coming in September, with the latest rumors saying it will launch September 8th for $299.99 with new 2 year contract and data plan (which makes sense to us given how all the other Verizon 4G LTE phones started out in that $300 price range when they launched). There are also rumors that the Bionic will get its own laptop dock like the AT&T Atrix, but no word on that from the Best Buy ad.
Hopefully this all means that Verizon and Motorola will make this all official soon. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: The Verizon Wireless homepage now has link to a sign up page for email updates on the Bionic. There’s still no confirmed price or release date but it looks like all that is just a matter of time now.
More pics of the Droid Bionic from Best Buy’s ad after the break.
Sprint Gives The Motorola Photon 4G A Release Date And Price– Coming July 31st For $199
Jul 14th

Ever since we wrote about the Photon 4G in our top upcoming Sprint phones post a lot of you have asked when this phone will finally come out and for how much. Well, today we finally got the answer to those questions with an official price and release date. Well, the Photon 4G will be available sooner than you think– coming at the end of this month, July 31st, for the as expected $199.99 with new 2 year contract and data plan.
For those who don’t know, the Photon 4G is kinda like the recently released HTC EVO 3D just without the 3D part. It’s a beast of a phone with specs like a 4.3 inch qHD screen (not 3D but still very, very nice and a screen that should make everything you view on it look amazing), 1 GHZ dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor with 1 GB of RAM (again, for awesome speed), 8 megapixel back camera with front camera for video chat, kickstand, and the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread with custom Motorola UI on top. The Photon 4G can also be docked into a “HD Station” so you can connect the Photon 4G to a larger screen and use its Webtop OS with Firefox browser (this is the same OS that allows the AT&T Atrix 4G to turn into a “laptop” when it’s docked in its laptop dock). Unfortunately there’s no word on if the Photon 4G will get is own laptop dock (it’s slightly bigger screen makes it too big to fit into the Atrix’s), but if there is one we’ll make sure you know about it.
We saw the Photon 4G for ourselves a few weeks ago and we were very impressed. If you want a powerful Sprint phone and don’t want the 3D of the EVO 3D, this is definitely worth waiting for.
So, what’s it gonna be: Photon 4G, EVO 3D or are you waiting for a different phone to be your next Sprint phone? Sound off in the comments.
For more info on the Photon 4G check out Sprint’s site here.
Verizon Releases The Motorola Droid 3– The Most Powerful 3G Droid Yet
Jul 7th

Looking for a new Droid but want something with the power of the Droid X2, keyboard of the Droid 2 and front camera of the Droid Incredible 2? Then this latest version of the original Droid line is for you.
Today Verizon and Motorola released the Droid 3, the third generation of the original Motorola Droid released two years ago that really put Android on the map. And this new Droid 3 definitely looks to live up to the Droid name. As we wrote above, think of it as a best of the best of some of the latest 3G Droids– the Droid X2, Droid Incredible 2, and Droid 2. Here are the full specs:

- 4 inch high-res qHD screen– Basically this is one of the best screens on any Droid yet and should make everything you view on it look great. The screen is also made of what’s known as Gorilla Glass, or a really strong glass that should help keep your screen scratch free (a major plus in our opinion).
- Slide-out full QWERTY keyboard– It wouldn’t be a new Droid without it.
- 1 GHZ Dual Core Processor– So it’s just as fast as the recently released, blazing fast Droid X2. Everything on here should run fast and smooth just like its supposed to.
- 8 megapixel back camera with 1080p HD video recording and second, front camera for video chat– Just like the Droid Incredible 2. Pictures and videos on here should also come out great (the back camera even has face recognition!).
- Latest and greatest Android 2.3 Gingerbread– With Swype keyboard pre-loaded for when you don’t want to use the slide-out keyboard.
- 16 GB of built-in storage– With the ability to add another 32 GB through microSD which makes this perfect for storing all your music, videos and pictures.
Sadly the Droid 3 isn’t a 4G phone (we’re gonna have to wait for the Droid Bionic for that), but if you’re looking for a top of the line 3G Droid you can pick this up now for $199 with new 2 year contract and data plan from Verizon (and again, if you’re upgrading you can still keep your unlimited data with this).
