We all heard that the new iPhone 3G is coming out next Friday, July 11th, and just to nip the questions in the bud, we’ll present answers to a few questions we expect are beginning to emerge in your mind about purchasing this much-anticipated product. Read on to not only hear your questions asked, but to answer them too.
New Music Phone for T-Mobile to Brag About (finally!)
Jun 27th

Motorola Rokr E8
Wow, this summer is really the season for new, innovative, and often touchscreen, cell phones– iPhone 3G, LG Vu and Dare, Samsung Instinct… the list can go on (and can be read about here). However, one particular carrier is noticeably absent from that prestigious list: T-Mobile. Not to fear, though, the Motorola Rokr E8 is here– well on July 7 it will be, according to Cnet’s blog Crave– and its generating a lot of excitement; it already won top awards at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, including the People’s Voice award and best upcoming cell phone product (discussed by us earlier). But this phone is very different from the previous models we’ve discussed in the past for this summer…ITS NOT A TOUCHSCREEN! Yes, you heard me. Rather, this phone attempts to become the ultimate Music player Cell phone, or what we call the Mp3 phone for the sake of conciseness. Ever. Hit the more link for details!!
Verizon’s LG Dare– iPhone’s Best Competitor?

LG Dare
Now that AT&T might be getting another all-touchscreen phone, we thought it would be nice to mention some more info on Verizon’s latest touchscreen phone, the LG Dare. There’s a lot on it, but I think its worth a look. Click the More link if you’re convinced.
Touchscreen Cell Phones
Jun 9th
Here is one of the big trends in Cell Phones right now- touchscreens. We all know of one of the bigger leaders in this group- AT&T with the LG Vu (that we covered here), and Apple’s iPhone (the new 3G model coming July 11; we will hope to have al the info on that covered for you tomorrow)- but what about Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile, do they get in on this touchscreen madness? The answer to that is yes, and we got some info for you on some of the current and future touchscreen phones for all these groups.

How to Make Your Own Ringtones for Free
Jun 1st
We have something here that many of you will like… making your own Ringtones for free. Using a program called Audacity (download here), any of your unprotected music— those not purchased through iTunes (check your songs in iTunes by right-clicking on a selected song, clicking Get Info, and then looking at the bottom of that first tab) and such, or in Mp3 or ACC format— can be shrunken down and subsequently placed onto your phone. For a full guide, see this ATT forum I found. This should work for most ATT phones—unfortunately excluding the iPhone or any other smartphone— and possibly for T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint.
But don’t be disappointed iPhoners. In iTunes, you’ll see the option to convert to ringtone for an iPhone—though only for an iPhone—for an additional $1.
