T-Mobile Announces The HTC Amaze 4G– The Perfect Camera Phone
Sep 28th

Galaxy S II too big for you? Want something slightly smaller and with a better camera? Then you’re gonna love this. Meet the HTC Amaze 4G, the next big 4G Android T-Mobile superphone from HTC. Think of this as an awesome mix of the great design of the Sensation 4G and the amazing camera of the myTouch 4G Slide. And like the Sensation 4G and myTouch 4G Slide, this guy’s loaded.
Specs wise the Amaze 4G has that same sharp 4.3 qHD screen (or a really great screen that should make everything you view on it look crystal clear), the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with HTC Sense) and super thin design as the Sensation 4G, though now it also has the awesome 8 megapixel back camera as the myTouch 4G Slide (with all its awesome features like zero shutter lag and Clear Shot HDR). T-Mobile and HTC even added some new camera features like SmartShot (which takes five quick pictures when you hit the camera button and then combines the best features of all of them to give you the perfect shot) and PerfectPics (which takes all your best looking pictures and puts them in their own album) to make this an even better camera phone. And like all of T-Mobile’s other 4G phones, the Amaze 4G also comes with a second front camera for video chat.
Speed wise the Amaze 4G is also top of the line, with it’s even faster 1.5 GHZ dual core processor (the Sensation 4G was a drop slower at 1.2 GHZ), so everything from opening apps to gaming to multitasking should run even better. The Amaze 4G is also capable of connecting to T-Mobile’s even faster 42 Mbps 4G HSPA+ network, so everything you do online will be even faster too (and as we said with the Galaxy S II, this may even be faster than your home internet!).
The Amaze 4G will be available starting on October 10th for a pretty expensive price of $259.99 with new 2 year contract and data plan (if you want something almost as powerful but cheaper we’d still recommend the Sensation 4G, particularly if it gets a price drop from its current $200 on contract price). But again, if you’re looking for the best T-Mobile has to offer, and don’t mind spending the extra $60, we think you’ll love this.
So T-Mobile users– what’s it gonna be: Galaxy S II or this?

T-Mobile Announces Samsung Galaxy S II Release Date– Coming October 10th For $230
Sep 28th

On T-Mobile and waiting for the Galaxy S II? Well, your wait is now finally almost over. With Sprint already releasing their version of Samsung’s hit Galaxy S II earlier this month (as the Epic 4G Touch), and AT&T planning to release their version on Sunday, it was only a matter of time before T-Mobile joined the party– and we now know when that will be. Beginning October 10th this beast of an Android phone can be yours for the slightly more expensive price of $230 with new 2 year contract and data plan (why T-Mobile is charging $30 more than AT&T and Sprint we don’t know).
For those who don’t know, the Galaxy S II is one of the most powerful T-Mobile phones yet, with impressive specs like a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus screens (like AT&T’s Infuse 4G. Basically, everything and anything you view on here will look insane), 8 megapixel back camera with 2 megapixel front camera (for higher quality video chatting), ridiculously thin design (it’s literally pencil thin!), the latest and greatest Android 2.3 Gingerbread (with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 4.0), support for T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ 42 Mbps network (this is T-Mobile’s upgraded 4G network and should make everything you do online even faster– maybe even faster than your home internet!), 16 GB of built-in storage, and a super fast dual-core 1.5 GHZ processor (so you should never see any freezing or lag even when doing intense things like multitasking or gaming).
All in all, if you have an upgrade and are looking for super fast, super awesome T-Mobile phone you should definitely check this out.

iPhone 5 Rumor Of The Day: Coming To Best Buy and Sprint October 21st?
Sep 4th

We know a lot of you are really excited to learn more about this rumored Sprint iPhone said to be coming in October. While these are still just a couple of rumors, combined with what we learned from the Wall Street Journal things are looking even better for the iPhone 5 coming next month– and that it’s also coming to Sprint.
Today’s iPhone 5 rumors come from two of the top tech sites out there, This Is My Next and BGR, and both have received different tips that Best Buy is planning for some big Apple launch next month. According to the tip sent into This Is My Next, Apple will be installing some big “fixtures” (think signs, posters, demo stands) in Best Buy stores on October 21st (which is the date that makes the most sense to us and fits in with other rumors of a middle of October launch). What’s important to know about this is that its similar to what they did last summer for the iPhone 4 launch. BGR on the other hand has a separate Best Buy tip saying not only that Sprint is getting the iPhone 5 (in addition to AT&T and Verizon and we think T-Mobile– it just makes sense and we don’t see why Apple wouldn’t do it), but pre-orders may begin as soon as this week (with the iPhone going on sale on October 1st. We don’t think is happening seeing as Apple has yet to send out invites for an iPhone 5 event, something which isn’t expected to happen until later this month or early next month. But hey, we wouldn’t mind if they started this week!).
The BGR Best Buy leak– note the mention of the Sprint iPhone 5 at the top in bold
And as the BGR tip notes, and we want to stress again: these dates are very much subject to change. Remember, these are all still very much just rumors and not officially confirmed by Apple, Best Buy, Sprint or anyone else. But two different Best Buys saying the iPhone 5 is coming in October, and the Wall Street Journal saying the same thing two weeks ago, makes us really think that we’re getting really close.
We’ll of course keep you updated as more iPhone 5 info comes out, so stay tuned!

Samsung Makes The US Galaxy S II Official, Coming Soon To AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile
Aug 31st

It’s finally official. After lots of rumors and teasing Samsung has finally made the US versions of their hit Galaxy S II Android superphone official for AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. And wow do they look to live up to the hype.

As we thought, all three Galaxy S IIs have massive, awesome Super AMOLED Plus screens (AT&T’s Galaxy S II is 4.3 inches while Sprint and T-Mobile’s are 4.5 inches like AT&T’s Infuse 4G. Basically, everything and anything you view on them will look insane), 8 megapixel back cameras with 2 megapixel front cameras (for higher quality video chatting), ridiculously thin designs (it’s literally pencil thin!), the latest and greatest Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s latest TouchWiz 3.0, 4G support, 16 GB of built-in storage, and are super fast with dual-core 1.2 GHZ processors. In short, if you’re looking for a new super powerful Android phone on AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile you’re going to want to check these out.
In terms of release dates and pricing, Sprint will be the first to release the Galaxy S II– with their version called the Epic 4G Touch– on September 16th for $200 on new 2 year contract and data plan. AT&T and T-Mobile’s Galaxy S II’s are said to be coming not too long after that, but sadly we don’t have exact release dates or pricing for them just yet.
Oh, and for those wondering about the Verizon Galaxy S II. Well, we’re sorry to say that Verizon is passing on the Galaxy S II entirely…. and are instead rumored to be getting an even more powerful phone in October called the Samsung Droid Prime. According to BGR, the Droid Prime will be even more powerful than the Galaxy S II, will run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and possibly even be the first phone to run the next big update to Android, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (which is rumored to be coming out later this year). According to the rumors Verizon thinks this phone will be better able to hold it’s own against it’s other top phones like the Droid Bionic and upcoming iPhone 5. Yeah, if the Bionic isn’t for you then this looks to be the Verizon Droid to wait for.
We’ve got a few more pics of each of the Galaxy S II’s after the break, and for more info you can check out Samsung’s site here or Sprint’s site here.
So, anyone see this as your next phone?
T-Mobile’s BlackBerry Bold 9900 Price and Release Date Announced– Launching In Stores August 31st
Aug 16th

Well T-Mobile BlackBerry friends, it’s finally your turn. Verizon, Sprint and AT&T all announced when their new BlackBerry 7 phones will be launching and now T-Mobile has joined the fun. At the end of the month (aka August 31st) this new 4G Bold 9900 can be yours for the pretty expensive price of $299.99 with new 2 year contract and data plan. If you’re asking us we’d recommend waiting a few days or weeks for this to drop to a much more reasonable $200 on contract (and yes we wouldn’t be surprised to see someone like Best Buy, Walmart or Amazon do this so close after launch. It’s a great BlackBerry but not one worth $300), but if you need a new T-Mobile BlackBerry before school starts this still looks to be by far the best T-Mobile has ever offered.
Just a recap of the T-Mobile Bold’s features, for those who don’t know it’s pretty much the greatest BlackBerry released yet. Features on the new Bold include a much faster 1.2 GHZ processor with 768 MB of RAM (so everything from BBMing to browsing the web is much faster), 5 megapixel back camera with the ability to take 720p HD video (there is no front camera for video chat), the latest and greatest BlackBerry 7 OS, support for T-Mobile’s 4G network, and that awesome BlackBerry keyboard underneath that 2.8 inch multi-touch screen. Full info on the Bold 9900 can be found here.
Samsung Galaxy S II Finally Coming To The US On August 29th
Aug 12th

We know a lot of you have waited for this day to come, and you can now rest assured– it’s now finally almost here. We just got an invite from Samsung to an event in New York at the end of the month for a “major product announcement,” with the Galaxy S II’s little “II” logo of course hanging out in the bottom left. And that means just one thing– Samsung’s next generation of the hit Galaxy S line (aka the T-Mobile Vibrant and Galaxy S 4G, Verizon Fascinate, Sprint Epic 4G and AT&T Captivate) is now only a couple of weeks away from making its official arrival into the US. If you’re looking for a super-powerful, insanely thin phone with a large and incredible screen you’re gonna want to wait for this.

For those who don’t know, the Galaxy S II is one of the top Android phones available today, with its European version (which was released a few months back and is shown above) packing all the top of the line features you’d expect in a superphone today like a fast 1 GHZ dual core processor, 8 megapixel back camera with second 2 megapixel front camera for video chat, gorgeous 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, 16 GB of built-in storage and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top. Now the like the original US version of the Galaxy S, we expect the US carriers to customize their versions of the Galaxy S II to differentiate from the others (with different names, designs and even some feature changes like a slightly larger screen, slide-out keyboard, 4G support etc.), but seeing as Samsung’s running this event and not a particular carrier we also expect to see all 4 carriers’ versions on the 29th with releases coming hopefully not too long after that.
We’ll of course have everything you need to know about everything Samsung announces covered for you back here, so stay tuned!

So in this issue of our back-to-school series we’re gonna take a look at some of the best cell phones available now on AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon that you should definitely consider when you’re looking for a new phone for this upcoming school year.
New BlackBerrys Being Revealed Tomorrow?
Jul 25th

We know a lot of you are very excited for the upcoming new Bold 9900/9930 (depending on of if your on AT&T/T-Mobile or Sprint/Verizon), but sadly ever since it was first announced in April RIM hasn’t said anything more such as when exactly we can expect it or some of the other rumored new BlackBerrys (like the new Torch, Curve or Storm). Well, looking at this latest tweet from BlackBerry we’ll hopefully have some of those answers soon. Like tomorrow soon.
The tweet, which you see above, is from the official BlackBerry Twitter account and teases some new info coming tomorrow on BlackBerry OS 7 devices (like that Bold Touch and new Torch, Curve and Storm!). And seeing as we already know a lot about OS 7 since it was announced back in April with the Bold Touch, hopefully these new “deets” will include some info on when exactly some of the new BlackBerrys will be in stores and for how much.
So BlackBerry fans stay tuned– it looks like the info you’ve all been waiting for will finally be revealed soon. And make sure to check back here tomorrow for whatever it is BlackBerry has to share.
