Motorola Zine for T-Mobile

Looking for a good T-Mobile phone that won’t burn a hole in your wallet? Then look no further. Today T-Mobile released the Motorola ZINE  for $99 on a 2 year contract. Yup thats $99. So what makes this phone so great that you should consider this? See below for all the features.

Features:

  • Thin “candybar” design– This is nice, and like all the recent Motorola phones (really any since the RAZR launched a few years ago), should fit easily in any pocket.
  • Morphing Keypad– Like T-Mobile’s ROKR E8 (also made by Motorola), this keypad changes the layout of the keys depending on what feature your using (play, pause, rewind and fast forward for music, zooming for pix, regular phone keypad for texting and calls, etc.). Really cool.
  • 5 Megapixel Camera!– Yup, you read that right. This phone is loaded with a 5 MEGAPIXEL camera. It is also loaded with a bunch of software from KODAK for taking great pix, and has a built-in flash for those low lighting pix. Oh, and from what everyone is saying on this phone, the pix aren’t that that bad!
  • WiFi– For using T-Mobile’s Hotspot at Home, and uploading your pix from your phone to the internet.
  • Mp3 Player, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and MicroSD card slot– Great for music, and the MicroSD slot — expandable up to 4 GB — is great for loads of music and pix (especially with that 5 megapixel camera).

This phone lacks T-Mobile’s 3G, but I think T-Mobile more than makes up for it with the $99 price on 2 year contract (seriously, all this for less than $100?) and because it’s available right now (though T-Mobile’s site is having problems even though it lists the phone).

What this means to you: With the holiday season around the corner, those T-Mobile users looking for a loaded, yet affordable phone with a serious digital camera (specifically those who want it all in one small package) should definitely consider the Zine.

What you think- is this something your going to buy, or are you more into a even more feature-packed phone like the G1 despite the higher cost? Let us know in the comments.
