Ready 2 Rumble Revolution- A Cool New Fighting Game for Wii
Ready 2 Rumble Revolution for the Wii
We all know and love the Wii’s motion sensitive controls- you know, the motion sensitive Wiimote and Nunchuck controllers. Well, this new game, Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, looks to take full advantage of those controllers, as it looks like a cooler, funner version of the traditional boxing game found in every Wii Sports game. Cool features:
- 18 Cartoon Boxers based loosely on Celebrities, Sports Figures- Don’t expect to see your favorite (or least favorite) of these figures; Atari — the makers of the game — didn’t make an exact copy of these characters real-life counterparts (that might have gotten them into some trouble we assume 🙂 ). But hey, if they choose some fairly recent people to emulate, this could get very fun, very quickly 😉 Oh, and to make things even more fun: all the characters have been given super sized egos!
- Championship mode with the ability to make your own boxer– Yup, you get to make your own little cartoon boxer, train him, and have him fight against some of those egotistical characters.
- Simple Wii controls– Anyone who’s ever played Wii boxing knows how easy and fun it is, using the Wiimote and Nunchuck as boxing gloves. Atari brought those same controls here, making for some fun playing.
- Crazy moves, combos, special moves, takedowns, and “Rumble combos”- This sounds to me like Wii Sports boxing- EXTREME style.

Now for our more serious gamers out there looking for a little challenge to their fight, don’t worry: this game is said to be packing improved graphics and “advanced Artificial Intelligence”- basically the computer adapting to your playing to make the fights more intense. If this is anything like the new Madden IQ in Madden 09, then this should be very challenging and fun even for the intense gamer. Oh, and the game’s voice is Michael Buffer’s, the guy who is most known for saying “Let’s get ready to Rumble!” This looks to be a very interesting game for both the intense player and those who are looking for a Wii game that keeps you active and moving around 🙂
It comes out for the Wii on March 17 for $39.99, and we’ll definitely keep our eyes on it. In the meantime click on this cool little widget to see a special sneak peek about the game.
