Earlier this month Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 and new Galaxy Gear smartwatch. The Note 3 is the highly anticipated follow-up of last years Note 2, while the Galaxy Gear is a “smartwatch” that, when paired with the Note 3, does a lot more than just tell the time. Both are very impressive but the one you’re gonna care about most right now is the Galaxy Note 3, and if you’re looking for a new Note you’ll be happy to know that this looks like it’s a very worthy successor to the Note 2.
If you’ve got a Galaxy S III, S4 or Note II you’ll be able to get Jay Z’s new album Magna Carta Holy Grail for free tonight at 12:01 AM three days before it goes on sale to everyone else. All you have to do is be one of the first million people to download the Jay Z Magna Carta app, which as of this writing, the Google Play Store says has been downloaded over 500,000 times but is still at less than 1 million. That’s it. After you get the app come 12:01 AM you’ll be able to download or stream the new album for free thanks to Samsung. You can even share the app with friends who also have Galaxy devices using Facebook, Twitter or S Beam (the cool feature where you tap your phone with your friends to share files like in the commercials).
To get the app just head on over to the Google Play Store from your S III, S4 or Note II, and hurry, there’s only a couple of hours left.
We know a lot of you are excited for Samsung’s latest giant phone, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, and we have some good news for you. Over the next couple of weeks AT&T, T-Mobile or Sprint will all be releasing this awesome phone/tablet.
AT&T will start selling the Note 2 on November 9th for $300 with a new 2 year contract while Sprint will be releasing the Note 2 tomorrow, October 25th, and pricing it at the same $300. T-Mobile users, you guys are a bit lucky and unlucky– your version of the Note 2 is available right now, but it will cost you: T-Mobile wants $370 for it. Why the major price difference here were not sure.
Oh and those of you on Verizon– unfortunately Verizon hasn’t announced a price or release date just yet, but rumors say it might be coming as soon as later today for that same $300 price AT&T and Sprint are charging. Samsung is holding an event for the Galaxy Note 2 tonight so hopefully we’ll be able to find out a bit more about this there.
For more info on the Note 2 check out our first look here.
So we’ve covered Verizon, but a lot of you are curious to know what are the big new phones AT&T has in store for the next few weeks. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. At an event last week AT&T showed off a lot of the new phones that will be coming to their network over the next couple of weeks and months, and if you’ve got an upgrade coming up you’ll be glad to know that there are a lot of awesome choices waiting for you.
So what are you waiting for? Read on.
At an event late last week in New York we had a chance to check out some really cool things coming out over the next couple of months. One of those cool new things was Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 2. The Galaxy Note 2 is the successor to Samsung’s popular Galaxy Note “phablet” (phone/tablet) that was released earlier this year on AT&T and a few months ago on T-Mobile.
The new Note 2 looks to take this giant superphone to new heights, with a 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED screen (up from 5.3 inches on the original Note), 1.6 GHZ quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM (so anything you do– text, watch YouTube, check Facebook, play a game– is fast and doesn’t freeze or lag), 8 megapixel back camera with 1.9 megapixel front camera for HD video chat, NFC and 4G LTE support, and 16 GB of built-in storage (with room for another 64 GB through microSD). Oh, and the Note 2 will also launch with the latest and greatest version of Android, version 4.1 Jelly Bean.
After playing with it for a few minutes we gotta say, it is one very nice phone. Read on for our Teen First Look of the Galaxy Note 2.
So you’re on Verizon, you’ve got an upgrade coming up sometime over the next couple of months and while you like some of the phones already out there, you really wanna know what Verizon’s got coming out during the next few weeks or months so you don’t go out and buy something only to really regret it a week later. While not everything here is confirmed (some are just our best guesses based on rumors we’ve been hearing), here are 5 phones that are here or said to be on their way to Verizon and that any Verizon user with an upgrade should be really excited for.
